FULTON, NY – The New York State Department of Transportation is alerting motorists in the city of Fulton to a new traffic pattern and signal installation in the westbound direction of Route 3 at the intersection of Route 48, immediately west of the bridge over the Oswego River.
The new pattern provides an exclusive left turn lane from westbound Route 3 to southbound Route 48, and a combined through / right turn lane in that westbound direction.
Motorists should be aware that left turns onto southbound Route 48 are now only permitted during the protected (green arrow) phase.
This new pattern went into effect on Aug. 5.
Traffic operations in the other directions are not affected.
