On Wednesday (April 13), at approximately 1:11 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle traveling north on State Route 690 in the town of Lysander for a traffic violation.

After an investigation at the scene, troopers found that the driver, Andrew D. Wooding, 32, of Central Square, and the passenger, Samantha P. Vescio, 28, of Fulton were both allegedly in possession of heroin and hypodermic needles.
Additionally, Wooding was found to be in possession of a metal billy club, police said.
Both were taken into custody and transported to SP Lysander.

Vescio and Wooding were both charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument, both class “A” misdemeanors.
Wooding was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, a class “A” misdemeanor, and various Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
Vescio and Wooding are scheduled to appear in the Town of Lysander Court on April 20 at 7 p.m.
