Two Dead, One Critical Following Granby Crash

GRANBY, NY – Two people are dead and a third is in critical condition following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon, according to State Police.

IMG_4460Troopers report that at about 4:30 p.m., a FedEx truck and a car collided on State Route 3 between Rathburn Road and County Route 8 in Granby.

The driver of the FedEx truck, Kevin Frank, 41, of Liverpool, was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver of the car, Victoria Tully, 38, also of Liverpool, died at the scene as well, according to troopers.

Her daughter, Elizabeth Tully, 20, was airlifted by LifeNet helicopter to Upstate University Hospital with severe head trauma.

She is in critical condition.

The FedEx truck was eastbound on Route 3 and for an unknown reason, crossed over into the westbound lane and struck a 2013 Honda Civic head-on, according to police reports.

Both vehicles went off the road and came to rest partially submerged in a pond.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

State Police were assisted at the scene by LifeNet, Granby Center Fire Department, Fulton Fire Department, Minetto Fire Department and Menter Ambulance.
