FULTON, NY – Today (March 8), at approximately 8:16 a.m., State Police in Fulton stopped a vehicle traveling southbound on State Route 481 in the town of Schroeppel, for a traffic violation.
The operator, Charles J. Clew, 27, of Fulton, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and subsequently found to be in possession of heroin, according to troopers.
The vehicle’s passenger, James R. Walker, 34, also of Fulton, was found to allegedly be in possession of marijuana.
Walker was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Schroeppel Court on March 16 at 5:30 p.m.
Clew was transported to SP Fulton for processing and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, an unclassified misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a class “A” misdemeanor.
He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Schroeppel Court on March 30 at 5:30 p.m.
