UNITE HERE Ratifies New Contract With Interface Solutions

FULTON, NY – Workers covered by the Local 701T UNITE HERE union ratified a new three-year contract Wednesday with Interface Solutions Incorporated in Fulton.

The union held a meeting Wednesday afternoon at the Fulton Moose Lodge. According to union president Bob Donoghue, the new labor agreement included a 3 percent wage increase each year for the life of the contract.

The contract also includes “a change in the Incentive Plan, recognizing the current incentive jobs at a 20 percent performance level and an opportunity of up to 5 percent incentive payout for the entire plant, based on existing performance criteria,” Donoghue said.

A ratification bonus of $500 premium cost credit for current active employees enrolled in the medical plan will be applied in October 2008, October 2009 and October 2010, he noted.

“Also for active employees not in the plan there will be a one-time payment made of $500 in October 2008,” Donoghue said.

“I would like to add this round of negotiations with the company was conducting in a mutually professional and respectful manner,” he pointed out.
