Weather Notebook For February 28, 2011
According to Fulton’s weather observer, 2.3 inches of snow was recorded on Feb. 27.
That’s in addition to the 3.1 inches on the 26th and 7.6 inches on the 25th.
For the month, the total stands at 49.8 inches and for the winter season it is 209.9 inches.
There was no rain on Feb. 25, 26 or 27.
That leaves the monthly rain total at 0.33-inch and the annual total 0.54-inch.
The Oswego weather observer reported 0.27-inch of rainfall on Feb. 25, 0.04-inch on the 26th and 0.23-inch on the 27th.
It pushes the monthly total to 2.88 inches and 6.62 inches for the year.
The Port City received 5.5 inches of snow on Feb. 25. Another 1.4 inches fell on the 26th and 6.5 inches on the 27th.
That puts the monthly total at 52.8 inches and the winter season now stands at 172.5 inches.
