A West Monroe man was sent to jail Friday, accused of having sex with a child in West Monroe.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department alleges that Larry A. Parkhurst, 45, of 338 County Route 11, Lot 147, West Monroe, had sexual conduct with a child younger than 13 years old over a period of several years. Police also allege that Parkhurst “participat[ed] in numerous acts of voyeurism with the child” at a home in West Monroe.
The home’s address was not identified and the child, as per state law, was not identified.
Police charged Parkhurst with two felony counts of sexual condyct against a child and two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Volney Town Justice Patricia Kerfein sent Parkhurst to jail in lieu of bail of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
He is due to return to court in West Monroe tonight.
