I want to thank all of you who took the time on Election Day to exercise your privilege in going to the polls and choosing your representative.
I want to thank all of you that requested lawn signs, offered words of encouragement and were so receptive when I went door-to-door to speak with you and ask for your support. For those that I missed, I left a note and a card, which included my phone number (593-1397) and email address ([email protected]). In addition, I attempted to reach each of you by phone and letter form.
I also want to thank my wife, daughters and grandchildren who have continued to support me over my years in public service. This year, as a complete surprise, my granddaughter Jill had shirts printed up that read “Vote for Bob†on the front and “Team Weston†on the back, which were worn at the Democrat Press Conference and Election Night. I would like to thank my daughter Kelly for helping me put up my signs and my son-in-law Dave Marsh for helping me take them down.
As promised, I will continue to have Third Ward Action Committee meetings on the third Monday of the month and Neighborhood Watch meetings on the first Wednesday of the month to continue to update and improve communications between Third Ward residents, myself and city government. I would ask all of you to continue to contact me with your concerns, ideas and suggestions to improve the Third Ward and the City of Fulton.
Again, thanks to all of you for reelecting me as your representative. I will continue to do my best to represent you.
