FULTON – More than thirty students were recently celebrated at Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School with induction into the National Honor Society. The honor recognizes their successes both inside and outside the classroom and welcomes them into the prestigious national organization.
Student inductees were required to meet a rigorous set of academic requirements while participating in volunteer activities that serve the greater community. New members also needed to exhibit the four pillars of the National Honor Society: scholarship, leadership, service and character.
The induction ceremony began with words from NHS advisor Nathan Fasulo and District Deputy Superintendent Geri Geitner, who encouraged students to give back to the community that has supported them throughout their academic careers. Students were individually recognized before the event concluded with a candle lighting ceremony traditional to the organization.
“We are very proud of what our inductees have achieved and we are excited about how they will further serve our community as members of the National Honor Society,” said Fasulo.
This year’s inductees included Wren Allen, Mya Carroll, Marissa Crofoot, Bailey DePoint, Tyler Ditton, Mason Erkan, Elianna Fowler, Jacob Ingersoll, Tyler Ingersoll, Jacob King, Joshua King, Andrew Mainville, Daniela Mendez Rodriguez, Savannah Mirabito, Alissa Murdoch, Colten Norton, Carleigh Patterson, Emma Perkins, Isabella Perkins, Timothy Piano Jr., Cristofer Rodriguez Barrios, Alejandro Rodriguez, Yale Scipione, Calie Shepard, Mitchell Shurtleff, Allie Swick, Rosalind Taylor, Liliana Thompson, Faith Tibbetts, Summer Lee Trevino, Landon Wakefield, Audrey White, Zayne Williamson, and Jayce Wornick.
