A service was conducted at the synagogue just outside the entrance of the old fort during the open house. Religious equipment was furnished by B’nai B’rith for Sephardic Jews and other groups. It was accepted by Rabbi Moses Tzechaval of Belgium and Rabbi Hazan, spiritual leaders from the refugees. Courtesy of the Beit Hatsuf Museum Collection in Israel.
