Menter Ambulance Public Information Officer Graduates National Public Information Officer Basic Academy

FULTON, NY — Menter Ambulance’s Public Information Officer Joseph Provost, graduated from the National Public Information Officer Basic Academy that was held from December 13-17, 2022 at the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, MD.According to President and CEO of Menter Ambulance Zachary Menter, “It was important that we send Joe to this training to ensure we have the highest trained people right here in our community, educated by instructors who are experts in the field of public information.”

The training was sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security, under the Federal Emergency Management Agency branch, and included classroom training and hands-on workshops to refine the skills of public information officers from around the country.

Completing the basic academy were 35 public information officers from around the country, hailing from fields as diverse as emergency medical services, firefighting, emergency management, law enforcement, university administration, military, and the private sector.

Following the training, Provost declared, “I want to thank Zachary Menter for this opportunity to learn from the best in the public information field, and also for seeing the intrinsic abilities in his staff to make our community a better place to work and live. I truly believe that the learning and experience from this course will professionally position our agency Menter Ambulance to be on the frontlines of the public relations and emergency management response now and into the future. It is this forward thinking that makes Menter Ambulance a key stakeholder in our community.”
