Only 472 tickets remain for The Fulton Lions Club’s 10th annual “Lions Loot” sweepstakes, it was announced by club President James Sokolowski. The event drawings are scheduled for 1 p.m., Sun. Oct. 21, 2012 at the Fulton Polish Home. First prize is $10,000 and total prizes are $30,000.

“Our goal is to sell all 1,000 tickets by October,” Sokolowski said. “We’re hoping folks will grab this opportunity to purchase the remaining tickets for this event which helps us help many Fulton area residents with eye examinations, eye glasses and hearing aids. Donations for each ticket are still $50 for adults aged 18 or older. This year alone, our club as provided more than $7,000 to help the hearing and vision impaired.”

Only 472 tickets remain for The Fulton Lions Club’s 1010h annual “Lions Loot” sweepstakes, it was announced by club President James Sokolowski. The event drawings are scheduled for 1 p.m., Sun. Oct. 21, 2012 at the Fulton Polish Home. The second of two Early Bird drawings for five $100 prizes will be at the Aug. Lions board meeting for all tickets sold by July 31. Lions Loot Past Chairperson Diane Sokolowski and Lion Jess Yardley spin the drum to draw winning tickets at last year’s Lions Loot. Past President Leo Chirello writes the winning ticket numbers on the prize board.

“The second of two Early Bird drawings is coming up fast,” said Lion Don LaBarge, Lions Loot chairperson. “ At the club’s August board meeting, five names will be drawn for $100 each from all applications received by July 31.

Winners will receive their checks in the mail.

“We also wanted to remind participants that more than one name may be on a ticket. In addition, requests for a special number will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, and that you need not be present to win.

“Every ticket sold will be in the drum for every drawing and you can win more than once. Taxes are the responsibility of the winner.

“Each ticket purchased allows two adults to attend the drawing and enjoy food, drink, and entertainment the day of the drawing.  To give yourself the best chance of reserving your lucky numbers and winning an Early Bird drawing, we urge you to return your applications as soon as possible.”
