Oswego County Changes Three Poll Locations for 2026

Greater Voter Accessibility –

OSWEGO COUNTY – Oswego County Board of Elections (BOE) announces changes to three voting sites to improve voter accessibility ahead of the 2026 election season. BOE staff will continue helping those in need of assistance to ensure a well-organized experience for all voters.

The SUNY Oswego campus polling location, which also serves District 1 of Oswego Town, is moving from Laker Hall to the Newman Center, 36 New St., Oswego, allowing for more efficient use of voting space. The change also improves accessibility for residents with mobility issues as well as students living on campus.

Due to ongoing renovations at the Granby Community Center on county Route 8, residents of Districts 3 and 4 in Granby will now go to the Granby Town Hall, 1909 NYS Rte. 3, Fulton to cast their votes.

The polling site at Towpath Towers in the city of Fulton is also moving. Voters of Fulton’s Ward 5, District 1, will now go to Elks Lodge #830, 57 Pierce Dr., Fulton, joining other voting districts on the east side of the city.

“The site at the Elks Lodge is better suited to accommodate the number of voters for the districts we have set up there,” said Oswego County Republican Commissioner Stacy Teifke. “It is a much larger space, there is more room for parking, it is ADA-compliant and there is better access to the building for all voters.”

Oswego County Democratic Commissioner Matt Fleming agreed, saying that the BOE is taking extra precautions to ensure that residents of Towpath Towers will have ample opportunities to cast their vote. “We are working with Oswego County Mobility Management to ensure that Towpath residents have the appropriate transit options to get to the Elks Lodge on election day,” he said.

In addition, BOE staff will be on site at Towpath Towers ahead of election day to help those who prefer or need to complete an early voter or absentee voter form as well as to provide in-person support if requested.

The Commissioners are working together to help ensure a smooth transition to the new locations and said they are “looking forward to being able to serve more voters, more efficiently.”
