Oswego County Federal Credit Union Sponsors New ‘TGIF Concert Series’ In Fulton

Oswego County Federal Credit Union, (OCFCU), is the major sponsor of the inaugural ‘TGIF Concert Series’ presented by the Fulton Music Association, (FMA), and Fulton Parks and Recreation, with support from Fulton Savings Bank, it was announced by Steve Chirello, FMA president. Jo Jo Cortini, (far left on keyboard), & His Little Big Band will kick-off the series at 6:30 p.m., June 28, at Fulton’s S. First St. gazebo. FULTON, NY – Oswego County Federal Credit Union, (OCFCU), is the major sponsor of the inaugural ‘TGIF Concert Series’ presented by the Fulton Music Association, (FMA), and Fulton Parks and Recreation, with support from Fulton Savings Bank, it was announced by Steve Chirello, FMA president.

            “We are extremely excited to bring this new, free Friday night concert series to the 56 S. First St. Gazebo in downtown Fulton,” Chirello said. “Thanks to the support from OCFCU, we’re able to feature an eclectic mix of jazz, Boogie-woogie country blues, big band, Dixieland, a brass ensemble, and some traditional favorites. I also want to personally thank FMA board members Carol Fox and Joe Cortini for lining up the acts for this year’s series. All concerts are free and start at 6:30 p.m.

            “We’ll kick things off June 28 with Fulton’s Jo Jo Cortini & His Little Big Band. Jo Jo’s 12-piece big band brings boundless energy and enthusiasm to the Great American Songbook of big band standards. Jo Jo leads the band on keyboards and is also an accomplished clarinetist. They recently performed at the Fulton Jazz Festival, Fulton’s Memorial Day Salute, the Christmas in Wolcott concert benefiting the local food pantry, the Fulton Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, and the Lake Ontario Food, Wine and Jazz Festival.

            “Triple Threat, a Boogie-woogie country blues band, will appear on  July 5 featuring Steve Watson, Joe Conzone, Matt Zych and John Zych on keyboard. Kickin’Up Dust  performs modern and traditional country tunes, as well as some classic rock mixed in. Here’s the complete schedule: June 28, Jo Jo Cortini & His Little Big Band; July 5, Triple Threat; July12, Kickin’ Up Dust;  July19, Mark Wahl; July 26, Sounds of Brass; Aug. 2, Allan Howe; Aug. 16, Drew Frech; Aug. 23, Joe Cortini & His Jazz Mafia; Aug. 30, Fulton Community Dixieland Band.
