BUFFALO, NY – Oswego County joined a statewide call-out to help Western New York in the aftermath of a deadly winter storm that sat over the Buffalo region for days.

The county recently sent seven highway department workers and a convoy of heavy equipment to Erie County to help dig out from a winter storm over Christmas weekend.

The storm dropped roughly 50 inches of snow in a matter of days, impacting residents and hampering emergency response efforts -making it one of their snowiest Decembers on record.
