Oswego County Sheriff’s Office Dispatched Domestic Dispute in Oswego County

OSWEGO COUNTY – Yesterday morning, February 25th, 2025, at around 11:11 AM, members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched Cole Road, in the Town of Mexico, for a domestic dispute where a shot was fired.  The female victim was on the phone with 911 and had fled her residence and was hiding in a wooded area not far from Cole Road and could see the suspect’s truck driving back and forth down the road, presumably looking for her.

When members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office arrived, they found the suspect, Donald Bradley, 52 years old, in his vehicle on Cole Road and refusing to surrender to police.  Bradley eventually surrendered to police without incident.

Investigation revealed that Bradley was in a verbal domestic dispute at his residence on Cole Road when he threatened to kill the victim and began to load his shotgun.  The victim then fled the residence and Bradley followed her, firing his shotgun at her when she was running near where the driveway meets Cole Road.  The victim then ran down Cole Road to a wooded area where she remained on the phone with 911 until police arrived.

Bradley was charged with Attempted Murder in the 2nd degree, Attempted Assault in the 1st degree, Reckless Endangerment in the 1st degree, Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd degree, Menacing in the 2nd degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th degree.

Bradley was arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court this morning and was remanded to Oswego County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond.

This incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office at (315) 349-3411.
