Oswego County ‘Traffic Safety Champions’ Recognized

LAW ENFORCEMENT HONORED FOR PROMOTING TRAFFIC SAFETY – The Oswego County Traffic Safety Board presented certificates to its 2023 ‘Traffic Safety Champions’ in a Jan. 9 ceremony. OSWEGO COUNTY – The Oswego County Traffic Safety Board, a division of Integrated Community Planning of Oswego County, recognized six members of various Oswego County law enforcement agencies as Traffic Safety Champions of 2023. These individuals have shown a dedication to traffic safety and keeping local communities safe.

Honorees include New York State Police Troopers Alec Nelson, Daniel D. Carr and Connor Fayle; SUNY Oswego Police Officer Daniel Geary; Oswego Police Officer Jenna Costello and Fulton Police Sergeant David Hall.

“We honor these men and women who were nominated for their promotion of traffic safety for people of all ages,” said Oswego County Traffic Safety Board Coordinator Katelynn Kron. “Their dedicated service helps to make Oswego County a safer place to live.”

Traffic Safety Champions possess a strong personal commitment to public safety and demonstrate this through enforcement or education. They put forth their best effort to ensure the safety of all members of our community on roadways, sidewalks, bikes and in car seats, as well as through DWI enforcement and all other aspects of traffic safety.
