OSWEGO, NY – At about 6:51 a.m. today (May 19), emergency crews responded to an East Sixth Street residence in the city of Oswego for a structure fire.
The Oswego Fire Department extinguished the fire, which was confined to the rear potion of the residence.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.
The investigation into the fire by members of the Oswego Police and Fire departments, determined that the fire was intentionally set to the occupied residence.
As a result of this investigation, the Oswego City Police Department identified a 13-year-old as a suspect in connection with this fire.
The suspect, being a juvenile, will be dealt with in the Juvenile Justice System, for a crime which, if committed by an adult, would amount to “Arson in the second degree” (A Class-B Felony).
