Knuth is currently the principal at Cazenovia High School. He holds a B.A. in English from Siena College, a Master’s in education from the College of St. Rose and a C.A.S. from Cortland State University.

The search began nearly six months ago following the resignation of Anita Murphy, who took a position at Capital Region BOCES.

Dr. Jeffrey Bryant agreed to serve as interim superintendent at APW until the district could find a replacement.

The board of education has moved through the process carefully, looking at multiple candidates before narrowing the search to the final two.

“The search process was extensive,” said Casey Brouse, APW’s Board of Education President. “Mr. Knuth’s background and experience are a good match to what is important in our community, and we feel his academic vision will continue to provide opportunities for our students.”

Christopher Todd, District Superintendent at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation, who coordinated the search in partnership with the district said, “The search process brought the district a lot of well-qualified candidates. Mr. Knuth is the right fit for APW. His educational leadership will benefit this district as he works with the board, staff and community to provide quality educational opportunities for APW students.”

Knuth will begin his new post on January 2, 2018. missing or outdated ad config
