OSWEGO, NY – During the upcoming summer vacation, construction crews will be at Oswego High School conducting several projects including asbestos removal and work on the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.
David Butts of Christa Construction noted, “We will be doing asbestos removal in the library and mechanical room. However, we need to post the asbestos removal signs 10 days before the actual work begins. The signs will be in place at the Oswego High School during the year end testing, but the project won’t begin until the school year is completed.â€ÂÂ
The asbestos removal portion of the work is scheduled to commence on July 2 and should continue for approximately two weeks.
“The asbestos removal portion is a minor issue,†Butts said.
This summer will also see the replacement of six HVAC roof top units at the Oswego High School as well as piping and ductwork replacements.
