OSWEGO, NY – The Buc Boosters will host the 2023 Oswego High School Athletic Awards Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15 at the OHS Athletic Stadium. Gates will open at 6 p.m.
Oswego High School senior athletes, teams and coaches will be recognized for their efforts through a variety of awards and scholarships for the 2022-2023 season.
The event is open to the public, and in an effort to continue to build an improved culture, connecting the athletes from modified sports through varsity, the Buc Boosters have once again invited modified athletes, their coaches and family members to the event.
The 2023 Athletic Awards will include recognition of OMS and OHS Athletes of the Month, Spring Seasonal Award recipients, the Michelle Wink “Pick People Up” Award, as well as Coach of the Year and Fan of the Year.
“This is truly becoming a celebration of the successes of Oswego athletics and what our Oswego community sponsors are supporting,” said Sean Callen, President of the Buc Boosters.
“We are very excited to recognize our student athletes at the awards ceremony,” he added. “We appreciate the collaboration with the Oswego City School District to showcase our senior athletes, teams and coaches at this annual year-end event.”
In addition to the athletic awards, the ceremony will be highlighted by guest speaker Jason Leone, the head coach of the nationally-ranked NCAA Division III SUNY Oswego Men’s Basketball team.
“We greatly appreciate Coach Leone joining us for the awards ceremony this year,” said Callen. “His coaching accolades and leadership skills are well recognized and appreciated across the D-III basketball community, and his speech and guidance will surely resonate with our student athletes at the event.”
