Casting Complete For Children’s Theater’s ‘The Bluebird’

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Children’s Theater has completed casting for its next production, the “The Bluebird.”

The show is an updated version of the classic children’s play “L`Oiseau Bleu” originally written in French by the Belgian playwright Maurice Maeterlinck.

“The Bluebird” tells the tale of two children who set out on Christmas Eve on a quest to find the “Bluebird of Happiness.

The production features a large cast of area youth.

Featured players include Kara Weiss and Hunter Shaffer as the two children, Mary and T.T., Katilyn Lauber as the fairy godmother, Berylune, and Sadie Adamy, as Light.

Supporting characters include McKenna Bahner, Norman Berlin III, Cody Crouse, Isabel Hoschek, Judah Jones, Teal Palmer, Nikki Snow, and Hailey Thompson.

Other cast members include Emilee Anderson, Megan Anderson,  Rachel Barlow, Rachel Blum, Nolan Callahan, Clara, Mary and Nora Culeton, Seamus Darrow, Shelby Dunham, Abby Field,  Megan Gage, Hailey Giocondo, Emily Henderson, Jessica and Juliana Hernandez,  Leahshay Jones, Lena Kimball, Sofia and Sasha Loayza, Maya Mason,  Brianna and Shannon McIntosh, Alainna Mulvihill, Maddison and Gavin Neuland, Brenna Sherman, Ryan and Tessa Smith, Tiffany Sobrino, Caitlin Spurling Julia Tepfenhart, Natalia and Skylar Trepasso, and Rachel Zacharias.

There is also an ensemble of adult actors supporting the production including, Norm Berlin II, Sharon Darrow, Ken Snow, and Wayne Mosher Jr.

“The Blue Bird” was written by Wayne Mosher Jr. with music and lyrics also by Mosher.

Wayne and Kelly Mosher will direct the production, assisted by Chandler Carrocio, as stage manager, and Teal Palmer as assistant director.

Tyler Spicer will make his debut as an accompanist for this production.

“The Bluebird” is slated to be performed on Dec. 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 8, 9, 15, and 16 at 2 p.m. at the Frances Marion Brown Theater at Fort Ontario.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students.
