OSWEGO, NY – City police have charged an eastside man in connection with a break-in at a local business.

In the early morning hours of Sept. 28, city police discovered that the front door to the Valero Gas Station, 181 E. First St., had been damaged.
Upon investigation it was determined that the business had been burglarized.
Members of the Oswego Police conducted their crime scene investigation and the case was turned over to the Oswego Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
On Tuesday (Sept. 30) as a result of the investigation, Edward E. Farrell, 20, of 146 E. Cayuga St., was arrested by investigators of the department’s CID.
Farrell was charged with the following crimes: third-degree burglary (Class D Felony), fourth-degree criminal mischief (Class A Misdemeanor) and petit larceny (Class A Misdemeanor).
Farrell was arraigned in Oswego City Court on Sept. 30, and was released on his own recognizance.
He is to return to court on Oct. 30.
