OSWEGO – The City of Oswego has announced the release of the 2025–2026 On-Street Winter Parking Application. Residents may now access the application on the main page of the City’s website at oswegony.gov or directly at https://www.oswegony.gov/government/on-street-parking-permit-2025-26.
Completed applications must be submitted no later than December 1, 2025. All applications must be submitted in person at the Chamberlain’s Office, located on the first floor of City Hall. As outlined in the application guidelines, only owner-occupied residences are eligible to apply.
City officials remind residents that submission of an application does not guarantee approval. Furthermore, even if an application is approved, the designated parking location may not be directly in front of the applicant’s home. Parking locations are assigned by city administration in coordination with the Department of Public Works, taking into account snow removal operations and proximity to neighboring driveways to ensure safe and efficient winter maintenance for all.
The City of Oswego is hopeful for a winter that doesn’t necessitate activating the winter parking ban, but with no way of knowing what the winter will actually bring, city officials want to ensure that residents know that there are options for parking if/when the ban goes into effect.
Residents are encouraged to review the full application for complete details and requirements before submitting.
