OSWEGO — The City of Oswego would like to inform residents and motorists of upcoming planned work that will impact traffic flow at two locations later this week.
The traffic signal at the Utica Street intersection is currently scheduled to be upgraded on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. During this work, the intersection will be under 100% flagger control. Motorists are strongly encouraged to avoid the area if possible and to allow for extra travel time.
In addition, utility repair work is currently scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, along West First Street between Ellen Street and Murray Street. This section of roadway will also be under flagger control at this time.
The City of Oswego appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this necessary infrastructure work is completed. Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through work zones and to follow all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel. It is also very important to note that this work is subject to change based on the weather.
For updates or additional information, please monitor City of Oswego communication channels. We will update residents as any new information becomes available.
