OSWEGO The City of Oswego is pleased to share that the major work to connect the water mains has been successfully completed as of very late Tuesday night. City staff and contracting crews have been working with great care and caution—late into the night—to do everything possible to restore water service to our residents as quickly and safely as possible.
While both the Boil and Conserve Water Advisory remain in effect, the City is cautiously optimistic that things are moving in the right direction toward lifting the advisories in the near future. This optimism is based on the hopeful anticipation that no further issues arise, and as we await the results of the required water testing.
• Boil Water Advisory Reminder: Continue to boil tap water for at least one full minute and allow to cool before using it for drinking, making ice, preparing food, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.
• Conserve Water Advisory Reminder: Please limit non-essential water use to help maintain supply for essential needs.
A huge thank you goes out to the dedicated staff and contracting crews for their tireless efforts, and to our residents for your patience during this challenging process. We know this has not been easy, and your cooperation is making a real difference.
Further updates will be shared as soon as results are available. Please continue to monitor the City of Oswego’s official channels for accurate information.
