Oswego, NY –The City of Oswego announces that the Boil Water Advisory in place since last week has been officially lifted as of Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
Following extensive system repairs and required water quality testing, all samples have met New York State standards, confirming that the water is safe for drinking, cooking, and all other normal uses. Residents may return to normal water usage.
Mayor Robert A. Corradino expressed gratitude to the community, saying “We want to sincerely thank our residents for their patience and understanding during this challenging week. Your cooperation helped our crews work safely and efficiently to restore safe water to the City of Oswego.”
Mayor Corradino and the Common Council also extend their appreciation to the contracted crew, the Department of Public Works, the Engineering Department, and the Oswego Police and Fire Departments for their dedication and hard work—both in repairing the system and in providing bottled water to residents in need.
