OSWEGO – Oswego Mayor Robert A. Corradino has issued a no Unnecessary Travel Advisory for the City of Oswego through 7pm Wednesday, February 19th due to extreme blizzard conditions, high winds, and poor visibility. With the safety of our residents and workforce in mind, we are recommending no unnecessary travel – especially during times when the Lake Effect snow band is over the City of Oswego. This is a very dynamic situation, and weather conditions can change rapidly. City hall is closed today, and all nonessential city employees are not to report to work today to ensure their safety. Our DPW personnel will be clearing snow and keeping the streets clear during this extreme snow event. Keeping vehicles off city streets during this storm will help the DPW as they plow to roads.
This advisory will expire on 2/19/25 at 7 pm.
