OSWEGO – With this past weekend’s snowfall, residents were asked to not park on the city streets. Many residents complied, many however, did not. With more snow in the forecast in the coming week, the decision has been made to implement the overnight parking ban – effective tonight, Monday, January 6, 2025. The ban begins at midnight and ends at 6 a.m.
This will allow the DPW to clear streets, push snowbanks back and continue to maintain the roads for safe travel for all. The Mayor’s Office along with the DPW and Police Department will monitor the weather and road conditions and will notify residents when the parking ban is removed. Residents are reminded that information on the ban can be found on the city’s website, as well as the City of Oswego and the Oswego City Police Department Facebook pages.
The city also has a text alert program that you can sign up for by going to https://www.oswegony.org/government/alert-flier-textgov-12-24 and following the directions to enroll.
