OSWEGO – This past weekend from July 29-31, the City of Oswego hosted the Summer Bash Carnival.

The three-day event included a myriad of activities, food and vendors. Each day there was carnival rides and games, including a Ferris wheel, the zipper ride and the basketball shot game. The carnival felt like a replacement for Harborfest which was canceled due to COVID-19 which would have made planning for the event incredibly difficult. This carnival was on a smaller level but still packed with carnival foods such as fried dough, chicken tenders and wine slushies. Beyond the games, rides and food, the city brought in over 10 performances, including live music and fire dancers.

Local vendors also offered their products and services, including henna tattoos and face painting. Other tents set up included one from the police department, a wine and beer garden from Southern Fare and the Army.
