State Police in Lysander arrested Jeff R. Wallace II, 20, from County Route 7 in Oswego, for Petit Larceny and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

On April 13, Troopers responded to the Target store on Route 31 in the town of Clay for a reported hit and run accident that just occurred in the parking lot.
Witnesses reported a white pickup truck striking a parked car and leaving the scene.
Troopers, working with the Target store loss prevention staff, discovered the suspect wanted in the hit and run accident was seen on surveillance footage allegedly stealing merchandise from inside the store prior to the crash.
On Monday (April 18), the suspect was identified after pawning the proceeds of the stolen merchandise in the city of Syracuse.
Wallace was charged with Petit Larceny and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable for the Town of Clay Court on April 21 at 5 p.m.
