Eastside Oswego Man Facing Drug Charges

OSWEGO, NY – At approximately 9:10 a.m. on March 15, Oswego City Police arrested Patrick M. Watts, 62, of 137 E. Tenth St.

Watts was charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class D felony and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.

As a result of ongoing investigations into illegal drug activity in the city of Oswego, members of the Oswego City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division developed information that Watts may be in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

Investigators interviewed Watts, which led to a search of his residence.

As a result of that search, police seized in excess of four pounds of alleged marijuana, as well as other items of paraphernalia commonly used in the sale, transportation and distribution of marijuana and other drugs, including several hypodermic syringes and a quantity of prescription medications.

Watts was arraigned in Oswego City Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.

He is to return to court April 7.
