Firefighters Plan Golf Event To Benefit Jerry’s Kids

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Firefighters Association is hosting a golf tournament to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

It’s being planned for Sunday, Sept. 28 at Tamarack Golf Club in Oswego.

“This is a new fund-raiser.  We’re still doing the boot on Labor Day
Weekend, but we wanted to have a golf tournament and felt that it would be a
good opportunity to raise some more money for a good cause,” according to Mark McManus, deputy chief.

Organizers are looking for green and tee sponsorships or prizes.

The sponsorships are $50.

Firefighters are soliciting logo items from various local companies that would be used as prizes.

Checks can be made payable to the Oswego Firefighters Association.

If there are golfers interested in playing, the price is $240 per four-person captain and crew team.

The deadline is two weeks prior to the event for hole sponsorships. Merchandise donations will likely be accepted right up to the day of the tournament.

The cost includes 18 holes of golf with cart, chicken dinner, and prizes.

There will also be longest drive, closest to the pin, and putting contests.

Anyone interested in playing can contact Brooks Hourigan at (315) 343-5570 for more information. missing or outdated ad config
