OSWEGO – Two Oswego council committee meetings are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
At the Administrative Services Committee, Mayor Billy Barlow will request authorization to sign contract for fireworks for Christmas Tree Lighting event.
The city’s softball complex may be under new management in 2018.
Committee members will consider City Attorney Kevin Caraccioli’s request to enter into a sports management contract with Champions Events in Syracuse for the operation and management of the Legends Fields commencing with the 2018 softball season.
Michael Bonning, IT technician, recommends the city standardize all of its email accounts and Microsoft Office products.
He is requesting the mayor be authorized to sign a contract with Microsoft Partner in the amount of $32,250 for a three-year term.
Meanwhile, Justin Rudgick, Mary Kay Stone, with the Friends of Fort Ontario, will be at the Physical Services Committee to seek approval to hold the Bemelemans Festival – Madeline in Oswego again this year.
The popular event is tentatively scheduled for June 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fort Ontario Complex.
The committee will also consider a handful of other requests to use public space.
