OSWEGO – FlynnStoned Cannabis Company is opening a 2nd location in Oswego on January 3rd. Natasha Glynn and Darrell Pfiffner are the owners of the Oswego location and plan to be a part of FlynnStoned’s future growth in New York.
Glynn and Pfiffner have lived in Baldwinsville for the last decade. Before Baldwinsville, they lived in Tampa, FL. Glynn and Pfiffner own rental property in Oswego. They were already invested in the Oswego area and liked how it is growing. They sold their house in Baldwinsville and are now living in Oswego to run the dispensary.
Pfiffner applied for a license once New York began allowing recreational marijuana. Glynn was immediately on board with the idea. “It’s needed, it’s a place to buy legal safe cannabis. That’s the important part. People have been using this forever and now they can get it safely and legally, and bring in tax revenue to the town,” said Pfiffner.
Glynn and Pfiffner already had plans to open a dispensary in Oswego. Glynn and Pfiffner met Michael Flynn and made a deal. “Initially when we applied for our license, we were going to open our own dispensary, we applied last November and got it in May of this year,” said Pfiffner, “and our plan was to open our own dispensary. Through networking, we met Mike Flynn and got to talking. We saw his vision and partnered with him.”
FlynnStoned was the first dispensary in Central New York and was among the first in the state once recreational marijuana was legalized. Glynn and Pfiffner have a branding deal with Michael Flynn of FlynnStoned, an established dispensary in Syracuse, NY. While they are using the FlynnStoned name, they will have 100% ownership of the store.
Glynn and Pfiffner are excited to bring legal, safe cannabis to New York. Residents likely know that the only available dispensary in the area. “I think for both of us it, important to create good a customer experience, aesthetically we wanted people to feel comfortable, it’s a nice clean space that is relaxing that they can take their time and talk to educated budtenders, really the customer experience is what is important to us,” said Glynn.
Glynn hopes that FlynnStoned will be a safe space for people who use marijuana recreationally. “It’s almost like you’re creating a community within a community, as we’ve started to get into this through hiring our staff, I’m realizing that people don’t have to hide about their cannabis use, and we are helping remove the stigma,” said Glynn.
FlynnStoned opens its doors on January 3rd. They plan to have deliveries to Oswego residents begin in February.
