OSWEGO, NY – At about 10 a.m. today (June 11) the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a personal injury accident that occurred at 19 Waterview Road in the Town of Oswego.
When deputies arrived, they found that 44-year-old John David Halstead of Fulton had been in the process of dismantling a mobile home when the roof of the home suddenly fell on him.
Mr. Halstead was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another worker was uninjured.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Oswego Town Fire Department and Oswego County Coroner’s Office.
Halstead was transported to the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Sheriff’s investigators believe the death was accidental.
