OSWEGO – The next ‘History on Tap’ features an illustrated presentation on research of notable Oswegonians buried in Riverside Cemetery. Presented by Marilyn Huntington and Caroline Lamie of Fort Ontario State Historic Site, the program begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5 in the Riverview Room at G.S. Steamers Restaurant in the Clarion Hotel, 70 E. First St., Oswego. Admission is free.
The research was conducted by SUNY Oswego history students in Dr. Candis Haak’s “Death, Data and Local Cemeteries” class, with assistance from experts Huntington and Lamie. The program includes a discussion about the various databases used, which are also available to people who want to look up information on their ancestors and others who have passed on.
