OSWEGO, NY – Today (Dec. 6), the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office made arrests that stem from investigations into welfare fraud conducted by the Oswego County Department of Social Services that concluded in October.

It has resulted in the arrests of 15 people and including the charges of 13 counts of Welfare Fraud, 3rd degree, a class D felony; 13 counts of Grand Larceny, 3rd degree, a class D felony; 2 counts of Grand Larceny, 4th degree, a class E felony and Welfare Fraud, 4th degree, a class E felony along with 11 counts of Offering a False Instrument for Filing, a class E felony.
The total value of the benefits is equal to more than $109,000 which included Medicaid, Food Stamps, HEAP and Temporary Assistance.

The individuals included in these arrests are as follows:
Mark A. and Christine M. Allen of Phoenix, were ROR’d with a return to T/O Mexico Court on 12/18/12.
James R. and Lucy M. Baldwin of Williamstown, were ROR’d with a return to T/O Mexico Court.
Shelly A. Burghart of Constantia, was ROR’d with a return to T/O Mexico Court on 12/18/12.
Mary E. Ladd of Mexico, was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the T/O Mexico Court on 1/8/13.
Dennis J. and Gail Beaumont of Fulton, were ROR’d with a return to T/O Mexico Court on 1/8/13.
Laurie Dawes of Sterling, was ROR’d with a return to T/O Mexico Court on 1/8/13.
Brendan J. Relf of Fulton, was ROR’d with a return to T/O Mexico Court on 12/18/12.
Jason R. and Katrina J. Lewis of Cleveland, were ROR’d with a return to T/O Mexico Court.

Jennifer L. Quackenbush of Oswego, was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the T/O Mexico Court on 12/18/12.
Tom E. and Gay M. Ingerson of Pennellville, were ROR’d with a return to T/O Mexico Court.
