Maffei Announces $569,500 In Federal Funding For Oswego County Airport

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Dan Maffei today (July 31) announced that the Oswego County Airport has been awarded $569,500 in funding from two U.S. Department of Transportation grants.

These grants will be used to modernize the airport, including upgrades to the taxiway, lighting, and wiring.

“I’m pleased to announce these grants to help the Oswego County Airport make major updates to its facilities,” said Rep. Maffei. “Investing in local transportation infrastructure provides a boost to our local economy, and this funding will help the Oswego County Airport better serve local families and bring more businesses to Central New York.”

“This funding will help significantly modernize our airport, attract more travelers to Oswego County, and grow our local economy,” said Bruce Bisbo, Manager of the Oswego County Airport. “We thank Rep. Maffei for his support and for making infrastructure investments a priority.”

This is the second major grant announcement that Rep. Maffei has made for the Oswego County Airport during his term.
