Marching Bucs Compete At C-NS

Oswego’s Marching Bucs turned in a solid performance Saturday at the Cicero-North Syracuse field band competition, making some improvement in its team score.

The Marching Bucs finished fifth out of the six National Class bands performing.  The band increased its score for its 2009 show.  The band scored 74.85, up from 74.25 the week before at Jordan-Elbridge.

The scores in the National class:

West Genesee:    84.35
Victor:    82.95
Liverpool:    80.30
Central Square:    77.40
Oswego:    74.85
Webster:    71.75
Cicero-North Syracuse:    Exhibition

Phoenix’s marching band also took part, scoring 65.10 to finish second in the Small Schools 2 division.

The Marching Bucs spend this week gearing up for their big event: The 31’s Annual Pageant of Champions at Oswego High School, beginning this Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
