Mayor Announces Utica Street Bridge Schedule

OSWEGO, NY – The Utica Street bridge reconstruction project will get under way this spring, according to Mayor Randy Bateman.

“The project will start in April, maintaining traffic on the north side of the road with one lane in each direction,” he said.

The project will switch to the north side of the bridge in mid-summer or early fall depending on the weather.

Traffic will then be one lane in each direction on the south side of the bridge.

Construction will continue until Thanksgiving weekend, when it will be winterized, the mayor said.

All lanes of the bridge will be open for the 2010-11 winter season, he said.

The project will restart on the north half of the bridge in early April 2011, the mayor said. Traffic will be maintained on the south side.

He anticipates the project to be substantially done by Harborfest 2011 and completely done by August 2011, he added. missing or outdated ad config
