Mexico Stabbing Suspect Arrested

MEXICO, NY – On Wednesday, members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by members of the New York State Police and the Mexico Fire Department, responded to 119 Spath Road in the town of Mexico for a reported stabbing.

Further investigation revealed that Tracy Delong of 129 Spath Road did stab her father, Roger Delong, several times and bit her uncle, David Delong, before both victims were able to retreat to 119 Spath Road to report the incident, deputies said.

Roger Delong was transported to University Hospital, Syracuse, for his injuries.

David Delong was treated at the scene and released.

Tracy Delong was charged with one count of assault in the 1st degree, one count of assault in the 3rd degree and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, pending arraignment in local court.
