Multiple People Injured, One Fatality In Two-Vehicle Accident On Route 104

OSWEGO COUNTY – Yesterday, at around 1:13 p.m., members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident on State Route 104, near Crestwood Drive, in the Town of Oswego.

Investigation revealed that a 2022 Toyota Rav4 was traveling westbound on State Route 104 when it entered the eastbound lane and collided with a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta that was traveling eastbound.

The Toyota had two occupants: Joseph Stuhler, 68 years of age, and his wife, Maureen Stuhler, 69, both from Rochester, NY.  Joseph was driving. Both Joseph and Maureen were transported to Upstate Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Jetta had three occupants: Nicholas Frontale, 34, his mother and front passenger, Lorraine Frontale, 61, and Lorraine’s mother and rear passenger, Anne Squitieri, 85, all from Fulton, NY. Anne was transported to Upstate Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Nicholas and Lorraine were also transported to Upstate Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were assisted on scene by the New York State Police, Oswego Town Volunteer Fire Department, and Menter Ambulance.

This incident is still under investigation.
