Oswego City Police Department Execut A Search Warrant Stemming From A Drug Investigation.

On 01/24/25 at about 1:25pm, Officers from the Oswego City Police Department executed a search warrant at 31 McWhorter St., in the City of Oswego stemming from a drug investigation.

During the search, officers located approximately 38 grams of crack cocaine, as well as a handgun with a high-capacity magazine. Based on interviews and investigation, two arrests were made in connection with the warrant.

Daquan Brown, age 26, from Chester, South Carolina, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a class B felony, Criminal Possession of a firearm, a class E felony, Conspiracy in the 4th Degree, a class E felony, and Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine, a class D felony.

Michael Townsend, age 26, from Oswego, New York, was charged with Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, a class B felony, Conspiracy in the 4thDegree, a class E felony, and Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Brown and Townsend were transported to Oswego County CAP court for arraignment.

The Oswego Police Department was assisted by the Oswego County Drug Task Force and the City of Fulton Police Department.
