Oswego County Drug Task Force Announces Meth Lab Arrest

On Thursday (February 25), at approximately 6 a.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the New York State Police Special Operations Response Team and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team executed a methamphetamine related search warrant at 444 Chapman Road in the town of Parish.

Based upon an investigation conducted by the DTF it was believed that the occupants, living at and/or frequenting this location were conspiring and acting in concert to manufacture methamphetamine.

As a result of the search warrant execution, materials and equipment used to manufacture and possess methamphetamine was seized, police said.

In addition, approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine was seized, according to the police report.

Information gathered at 444 Chapman Road lead investigators to a related search at 649 State Route 69 in the town of Amboy.

At that location, materials and equipment used to manufacture and possess methamphetamine were also seized, police said.

Kraig K. McCombs, 21, of 444 Chapman Road, Parish, was arrested and charged with:
Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd degree – Class D Felony

McCombs was arraigned in the Town of Parish Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond.

He is set to appear in Amboy Town Court on March 8, at 6 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are forthcoming.

The Oswego County Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, NYS University Police at Oswego, U.S. Border Patrol, Fulton City Police Department and Oswego City Police Department.
