Oswego Man Arrested On Child Sex Charge

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department arrested an Oswego man, accusing him of having sex with a child in the town of Oswego.

Henry W. Vandelinder, 50, of 7696 SR 104, Oswego faces rape, sexual abuse and criminal sex act felonies, along with a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Police allege he had sex with a girl younger than eleven years old this past spring.

Hannibal Town Justice Eugene Hafner sent Vandelinder to the Oswego County Correctional Facility on bail of $8,000 cash or $15,000 bond.  He is scheduled to return to court in the town of Oswego on August 4, unless his case is waived to the grand jury by then.
