OSWEGO – An Oswego man is behind bars following a stabbing incident on Sunday afternoon.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joshua J. Johnston, 26, of 2081 County Route 1, Lot 4, Oswego, on Sunday (June 3) at 1:40 p.m.
He was charged with first-degree assault, a class B felony; first-degree robbery, a class B felony; third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony; and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.
According to police, the arrest stems from the investigation into an incident that occurred in the town of Scriba where Johnston allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck with a knife then stole the victim’s vehicle.
Johnston was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
He is to return to court on June 7.
The victim’s condition was unavailable.
