Oswego Man Charged With Growing Marijuana

On 2/25/10 at 4:30 p.m., Robert B. Landphere, 30, of 312 Klocks Corners Road, Oswego, NY, was arrested at his residence following an investigation into the cultivation and sale of marijuana in the Town of Scriba.

Seized from a shed near Landphere’s residence were 200 marijuana plants and over 1 ½ pounds of marijuana along with an elaborate set-up of both soil and hydroponic growing systems.

Mr. Landphere was subsequently charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana, Second Degree, a class D felony, and Unlawfully Growing Marijuana, a class A misdemeanor. Mr. Landphere was arraigned before the Hon. Kenneth Adkins, Town of Scriba Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $50,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 3/04/10. Investigation into the matter continues at this time.

Mr. Landphere was also arrested based on a bench warrant issued by Town of Scriba Court charging him with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree, which was included in the arraignment. Mr. Landphere will return to court at a later date to address the warrant charges.
