OSWEGO, NY – On December 7, at approximately 5 p.m., members of the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti-Crime Team, while assigned to a street crimes detail, observed a 2007, Ford, F-150, pickup truck to have allegedly been in violation of several NYS Vehicle and Traffic laws.
As a result of the observed violations, the vehicle was stopped by Oswego Police at the intersection of Lawrence and East Eighth streets.

The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, 43-year-old, Mathew S. Perry, of 247 Syracuse Ave., Oswego, was subsequently determined to have been allegedly operating the motor vehicle while his ability to do so was impaired by drugs.
A search of Perry resulted in the seizure of 18 individually wrapped baggies of cocaine, according to the police report.
The total weight of the cocaine seized was approximately 17 grams.
At approximately 5:20 p.m. Perry was arrested and charged with the following:
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree – Class B Felony
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, with intent to sell – Class B Felony
Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs, 1st offense – Unclassified Misdemeanor
Failure to stop at a stop sign – Traffic Infraction
Failure to signal – Traffic Infraction
Inadequate plate lamp – Traffic Infraction
