OSWEGO, NY – At approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday, members of the Oswego City Police Department conducted an investigative operation on State Route 104 on the eastside of the city in which one suspect was arrested.
As a result of the investigative operation, 28-year-old Jeffrey J. Mitchelson of 37 Murray St. was arrested and charged with third-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (both Class C felonies).
Mitchelson is accused of allegedly attempting to obtain 100 pills of Oxycontin.
Mitchelson was arraigned today (April 14) in Oswego City Court on the above charges and was subsequently remanded to Oswego County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail /$5,000 bond.
He is to return to court on April 27.
